Glassmasters...There's nothing
like it in the world. Never fade colors on cathedral glass create exceptional reproductions of beautiful masterpieces. Stained glass was first produced in the late 10th century. Small pieces of glass were attached to one another
with lead strips, producing beautiful effects. Clear glass and glass enamels were introduced in the 15th century. Medieval
craftsmen began creating complex designs by painting with colored enamels on a single piece of glass. Most earlier enamels
were opaque. By 1650, however, Johann Schaper invented transparent enamels which allowed for stained glass to become truly
an art of light. The artists of Glassmasters use these same ancient techniques with a laboratory of more than 600 different
hues.
